One month til St. Patrick’s Day!
Thinking about a style to top my spray-painted hair shamrock from last year…
Give me some ‘dos!
( In addition, I’m already thinking about some reindeer-hair antlers for this year’s Santa Con…too early?)

I am semi-obsessed with everything in this video.

On repeat all day.

…also wishing I was somewhere tropical.

Going for simplicity this year.
Potential birthday dress I just ordered— hopefully it ships and arrives in time!
Now… I’m thinking big bold statement necklace to go with this? That would totally negate the simplicity. (Oh well, when am I ever “simple” ?!)
Suggestions welcomed!

mission missoni.

For the launch of Missoni for Target, I was determined to get to a Target as early as possible for the first peek at the line. I soon found myself later that day clicking refresh every minute on Target.com in the hopes that it would refresh and something, I mean, ANYTHING, would be left after hearing it was all sold out.

Luckily! I was able to snag a couple of pieces - a gold thread spun cardigan, a chiffon v-neck shirt, and a men’s knitted open cardigan. — men’s cardigan for myself ;)

Finally, they arrived last week and I completely loved every piece. Today, I finally decide to debut and wear one of them! I just had to have an impromptu photoshoot during my coffee break - I was just THAT in love with the gold thread spun cardigan! It surely will be a staple, perfect to throw on and top off any look I don.

Additionally, today was the first time I broke into these amazing heels from Plenty by Tracy Reese I bought from my beloved Century 21 shoes. Army green canvas, camel leather with studs - this will BE my fall heel.

Thoughts on my look?

these boots are made for walkin’…

Keeping shoes in good condition is pretty hard. Keeping shoes in good condition in New York City when you wear heels and boots most of your life is harder.

When I studied abroad in Australia, I had bought these camel wedge boots from the outlets that I wore practically everyday afterwards. Four years later, the leather have worn out to a softer, vintage feel, and I still love and wear them every fall season.

Recently, I had to bring my boots in to the cobbler to fix the wedge since half an inch of the wedge whittled down. That’s what four years of wearing would do to it!

Manny, new best friend cobbler, was able to fix it, replace and fill out the wedge seamlessly! He wanted to shine it, but I declined, I liked the worn out, old feel!

Point of the story, always befriend a great cobbler because you’ll need them to keep your shoes in great condition, especially the ones that you don’t want to part with (just yet!)

[ I wish I had a picture of the boots pre-fix but you can still see what piece of the wedge was missing]

Is there any item that you absolutely love and have some memory/experience tied to it? Did you do anything to it to preserve its longevity?

Exciting news! For the holiday season, jcpenney asked me to participate in their Chictopia collaboration where I will be featuring various looks on my Chictopia page!

For those who are not on Chictopia, it’s a fantastic community for like-minded fashionistas to unite and share style and fashion ideas. After I was featured on jcpenney’s chictopia for FNO Miss for a Must, I immediately made an account and started exploring! First thing I stumbled upon? Chictopia’s editorial on fashion - Everybody is Ugly.

Not only is Chictopia a great source to absorb everything fashion, but for every blog post or action, you earn Chic Points, where you can redeem real-life prizes, Chic Rewards. The best part about this? As a jcpenney Chictopia blogger, I will be giving out “Trendsetter” badges, worth 1500 Chic Points, to all those who rock jcpenney in their looks.

What’s my latest look? While it’s still cool and breezy before it becomes winter, I still have some days to rock the I Heart Ronson pleated dress. I love the mini feather print all over and the pony-haired belt it comes with. It’s a light dress, so I threw on some tights paired with a black blazer for a polished, chic look.  In true Amy-fashion, I completed the look with my new velvet and patent platform booties.

You can snag this dress, currently on sale at jcpenney, or you can add it to your Chictopia wish list where jcpenney will be choosing select items for their next giveaway.

Follow along during the holiday season for new looks curated by jcpenney’s collections from N by Nicole Miller, Charlotte Ronson’s I Heart Ronson, MNG by Mango and more!

For more looks and inspirations, check out fellow Chictopian bloggers that will be participating:

So the Versace x H&M collection launches this Saturday. While I do love love this studded leather dress, will it just be played out after? I mean, how many times am I really going to wear this?
Perhaps I’ll get the leather cuff!
Who plans on shopping for Versace x H&M?!
